FORMULA 1 GRAND PRİX ISTANBUL    25. - 28. AUGUST 2006

A fantastic addition to the F1 calendar, the Turkish Grand Prix combines state of the art racing with a long weekend in one of the most exciting and beautiful cities in the World.

The second Istanbul F1 Grand Prix is scheduled to 25. - 28. August 2006. The Istanbul Racing Circuit is located on the Asian side of Istanbul, 6 km from the junction of Kurtkoy on the north side of TEM Motorway, linking Istanbul to Ankara . The Istanbul Racing Circuit is close to the newly constructed Sabiha Gokcen Istanbul Airport . In addition to easy access from TEM Motorway and the airport, the site is located within the green belt surrounded by forest and cultivated green fields. The area is clean of any pollution and pleasantly attractive for outdoor activities.

An unusual feature of the venue is that the lap will run anti-clockwise, making the Turkish Grand Prix Iatanbul only the third race on the calendar to do so (San Marino and Brazil are the other two). It possesses a wide variety of corners, and while perhaps not as technical as, say, Shanghai, it should definitely provide the drivers with real challenge, especially given the reduced downforce available in 2006.

25 August 2006

Arrival and Meet&Greet service at airport where a coach will be waiting to transfer you the short distance into the city. Check in to the hotels. Rooms have been reserved at Hotels in the city centre. These 4-5 star establishments that are perfectly located within easy walking distance of all the major attractions. Evening at leisure. 

26 August 2006 

Early departure from your hotel for 1 hour drive to F1 area for the seeding tours. Transfer back to the hotel in the afternoon. Optional Tours available for the evening. 

27 August 2006 

An early breakfast today and then transfers to the circuit to take your place at the track to watch the final qualifying and then the first ever Formula 1 Grand Prix to run in Istanbul. 

28 August 2006

Transfers to the Airport for departure after breakfast.

Where to Stay
