Perge, Aspendos, Side, Manavgat - Full Day

PERGE; The ruins of the city although not on the
scale of Ephesus, Pergamon, are nevertheless vast.Most of
today''s Perge howaver, belongs to the Pax Romana - the
theatre , stadium , baths and colonaded street.The stadium
is one of the best preserved of the ancient world
ASPENDOS; After passing Serik on the
Antalya-Alanya highway, you turn north and continue for 4
km. Aspendos dates back to the 5th century B.C. The theatre,
which was built in the 2nd century A.D., was periodically
repaired by the Seljuks who used it as a caravanserai. It is
one of the best preserved theatres to be found today.
Allowing 0.50 m per seat, the theatre holds 17000 spectators,
with an additional for 500 in the orchestra. Today it is
used for concerts, festivals and grease wrestling events. In
addition to the theatre the agora, basilica, nymphaeum and
15 km of aqueducts are to be seen. The pressured aqueduct
system is a feat of engineering from the Roman period.
SIDE; Is anyone of the best classical
sites Turkey. This was an ancient harbour whose name meant
"Promegranate" and today, it is a pretty resort
town. It is very popular because of its ancient ruins,two
sandy beaches, many shops and plentiful tourist accomodation.
Many constructions such as Roman theatre, Agora, Apolion,
Temple, Bath now used as archological museum attacts the
attention of the visition.
MANAVGAT WATERFALLS; This is the biggest
river in Antlaya. The region is well-watered with three good
sized rivers. The sorce of the flowing water is the
highlands of Taurus Mauntains. The avarage capacity of the
river is 155 m³ per second.
