Mount Ararat Expedition (5165 M.) 8 Days
A mystical mountain, Mount Ararat, rich in history and
legend. Noah, who made the creatures alive, found this
peacefull place in the middle of catastroffe to reborn of
life. Largely unpopulated, Eastern Turkey is one of the most
beatiful and unspoilt areas of country. The meadows in
spring and summer are blanketed with wildflowers and the air
is filled with the voices of migrating birds, sheeps and
goats with shephards. This exciting holiday provides an
insight in to the cultural and religious background of
Anatolia.
This remarkable itenarary offers a taste of the
wonderful trekking available on to the summit of Mount
Ararat and cultural experience about Anatolia.
DAY 1 : Meeting at Agri or Van Airport.
We transfer by minibusses to Dogubeyazit and overnight at
hotel in Dogubeyazit..
DAY 2 : Trekking near Ishakpasa Palace.
Visit Ishakpasa Palace. Overnight at Hotel in Dogubeyazit. DAY
3 : Transfer from Dogubeyazit to Mt. Ararat base camp,
by trucks, to 3200 metres base camp in about 1,5 hours
travel by truck and 4 hours trekking. Overnight at
tents.
DAY 4 : ACCLIMATISATION Day:
After early breakfast we begin to ascending to 4200 m. camp
place. Ascending takes about 3 hours in normal weather and
physical condition. After spending some time and eating
lunch in 4200m. camp place begin to descent. Turn back to
3200 m. camp place and enjoy the rest of the day. Overnight
at 3200 m. camp place.
DAY 5 : CAMP AT 4200m : Ascent to 4200
camp place. We and our porters carry all equipment which we
need on the way to summit. Overnight at 4200 m. camp site
with amazing scenary of Small Mt. Ararat and Eastern Turkey
Plateau.
DAY 6 : SUMMIT DAY: Wake up early in the
morning and begin the ascent to summit. ( we take all our
technical equipment as crampons, axes, ropes etc.) We reach
the summit 5165 m. after a 5 hours climb in normal weather
and physical conditions. We spend some time on the summit
(depends on the weather conditions) take photos, signing up
the summit book and enjoying the sceanery of Anatolian
plateau Iran and Armenia in all directions. Descending to
3200m base camp. Overnight at 3200m.
DAY 7 : Transfer to Dogubeyazit. Free
day in Dogubeyazit.
DAY 8 : Transfer to Agri or Van airport
in the morning and fly to Istanbul.
Tour Dates : Available from beginning of
July till the end of August if there is minimum number of
attenders.Availibility : Minimum 5, maximum 50 person.

double occupancy, domestic land and air transportation,
group transfers, meals in camps and breakfast at hotels,
excursions, sightseeing and entrance fees as listed in the
itenerary
Not Included;
Ascent fee taking by Turkish goverment, VAT
18%, International and domestic airfares, airport taxes,
travel and medical insurance, emergency evacuation coverage,
visa and passport fees, any meals and beverages in
Dogubeyazit, individual transfers if part of a group,
additional charges incurred arising from the delay or
extansion of a trip due to weather, equipment failure,
illness or other causes beyond our control, all tips, excess
baggage charges, items of a personal nature such as
alcoholic beverages, laundry, phone / fax charges, camera /
video fees.
